To Give The Greatest Gift

mindfulness, connection, heart, love, how to be present, giving, gift, free, life

A gift free and readily available, yet so infrequently given.

The gift of our full attention to another person.

To not merely be in attendance with our physical body.

To give a gift of the heart.

It is free. It is always in stock and available to give.

You might say this gift of attention, is to give the whole world to one person.

A chance offering to each person you encounter throughout your day.

What could be more purposeful than that?

I’m stepping aside

I read a quote on awakening that stopped me in my tracks.

“Man is God asleep.

God is Man awake.”

fractal-big-bang, oneness, evil, why do bad things happen, love, light, spiritual, awake, awakenings

The quote is seemingly so simple yet the power emanating forth is undeniable. It’s like it contains the keys to the universe and if we only truly understood it, on a vibrational level in our being, then we would wake up instantly.

I want to understand it. I want to know it’s truth.

I feel I have some awareness that I’m asleep, and mostly due to the experiences I’ve had, while only momentarily however, of being awake. These moments were my personal experience of sudden awakening or spiritual awakening, and revealled to me just how asleep I’ve been.

And when I drop back down into walking slumber what I notice most is our inclination for conflict. We seek it out. We revel in reasons to blast our anger and hate out to the world, and often is the case that we do it unwittingly. Many people justify it’s worth because they’re directing it toward a perceived ‘evil’ person, or violent, or mean, or insert worthy insult – person. Yet we fail to see that inciting hate, even through directed anger creates more of the same, and it’s the cause that’s begging us to bring into the light.

Our internal need for persecution of another, no matter how justified the cause is perceived to be, reveals our own inner demons. It only serves to reveal our hidden guilt, our shame, our ‘evil’ thoughts. It serves to show us what we hold within ourselves. Yet usually we’re so caught up in the external direction of our anger that we miss what’s really going on.

Well I’m stepping aside. No cause, no person, no situation warrants projection of guilt, no matter how grand or horrendous. It’s time to stop joining in on the ridicule.

It’s time for love, compassion, understanding and acceptance.

And most of all, it’s time for forgiveness.

Forgiveness for all.

And not because I’m better than some and therefore have the right to forgive, but because of the true spirited meaning of forgiveness. I wish to pass forward, through vibration, the recognition that nobody is evil, that many are lost and misguided, and that all will awaken. And when we awaken, and possibly a little before, we’ll all realise our true nature and that we’re all (yes I said ALL) quite the opposite of evil indeed.

When this takes place, all will be dissolved in an instant and we’ll return to love.

We’ll be light. For that is our true essence.

We’ll laugh and our energies will merge in loving oneness, in true acknowledgement of what is, and all else will be long forgotten as it never really was.

Inner Demons

I’m a writer.

The journey to realising that and being able to write it down has been tough. And I can see I always have been – a writer that is. I have piles of journals dating back to when I was little. Always penning it down. My thoughts, my dreams, my fears. But I never counted that as writing when judgement set in.

Somewhere along the way I deemed myself not good. Not good at writing. A bad writer. Not good enough to put pen to paper, finger to key.

And in doing so I expunged the creative flame within.

art, inner demons, self worth, self esteem, blog, life, love, help, fallen angel, angel, thought, creative, writer,
Let The Inner Demon Out by Haze-d

It’s been almost a year, and after a long dark night of the soul I’ve unleashed it once more. Determined to grow it to be louder and stronger than the voice within that tells me I can’t.

Oh that voice that’s always there, I can’t do it. Not enough. Not good enough.

I’ll be laughed at.

Thoughts and more thoughts.

LOUD THOUGHTS!

But they weren’t there when all was lost. Those imaginary people that ridicule… Even they disappeared when I gave it all away. Because I’d safe guarded myself, given up all that was dear and all that possibly could make me vulnerable.

In desperate days of disillusion there was not much left to criticise, just me, laying paralysed without an inkling of creative energy left. But safe – or so I thought.

Yet I remained. A shell of myself, but me none-the-less.

So, I surmised, if I am all that remains, then it must be up to me. Only me. For me to release it all and let the flame soar once more. Daring to be a little higher than before. Not giving a shit at those who ridicule and throw stones, real or imaginary.

The voice is still within but I choose not to listen. Or partially listen but not care. Or not care so much. Whichever is true in the moment.

So I’m gleefully back, weary from the fight yet happy in the realisation that I was worth fighting for. And that I finally realised I was worth fighting for.

A Question of Awakening.

I hide from it no more poem-spiritual-awakening-death-reborn-life-healing, self healing, blog, love
as I gather up the trash laid bare before me,
buried in the rubble of my old bones.

Hugging, holding, loving,
finally accepting and seeing truth
as all dissolves in the light of one passing,
and all I thought to be real
exists no longer, and through love
a new reality emerges.

New yet ancient,
and all my fears existed not.
If only I’d known to flip the coin
and behold the other side
as truth
but that was further than my reach,
as the voices of masses grew loud
and years ticked by like the second hand on a big round clock.

Alive dead reborn, alive dead born
it was all the same as misery
entrenched us.
The decision to awaken always there
as we flailed in the dark
not knowing how or why
or even that a light switch was so near.

The night I met me.

Last night in meditation I was bestowed a missing link I’d been overlooking in my healing journey to self love.

The setting was a tranquil lagoon in which I was guided to witness something significant from my recent past. As I gazed down into the water I saw myself rising upward. Yep me, appearing exactly as I do today, however I viewed myself from a different perspective. It was from the eyes of others, and I felt the urge to meet myself and hang out with myself just like you would a new friend.

Realisation after realisation poured through me and I was offered the understanding that loving yourself has an undercurrent that can often be overlooked. The missing facet being that you might love yourself but not necessarily like yourself. For example; you can love members of your family but not want to spend every living moment with them, or similarly a friend that you only enjoy seeing now and again but you love dearly.

The meeting of myself was about liking myself. And I mean really liking myself. self-love-acceptance-awakening-healing-heal-how to, relationships

It was uncharted territory where I befriended myself. I saw who I was as a friend and I liked her.

We hung out and met on so many levels – probably because she is me. But it was like meeting my ultimate soulmate; we enjoyed all the same things!

I saw us hanging out together in my house. I saw us at the beach. I saw us laughing and getting each others jokes. A lot of time passed in an enlightening and blissful meditative trance where time held no meaning, and it was as though I’d been reunitied with my long lost best friend.

And I really, really liked her!

And that was the main realisation, I’d been working on self love for some time now, but forgot about self like. I’d forgotten to like myself in each moment and remember that I want to hang out with me and I enjoy being around me.

If you’ve read this far, then it might be time to ask yourself honestly – if you like you. Do you feel the same about yourself, just like you would a best friend that you can’t see enough of, or your partner whom you adore and always want to be around?

If the answer is no, don’t despair. You’re on the path to healing because you’re beginning to understand where you stand right now. Ask the angels or your spirit guide for assistance, request that they show you how loved you really are. And then ask them to help you discover how to befriend you.

Because when it comes down to it, you’re the one you spend literally all of your time with.

With love,

Sharon

Knowing this will eliminate road rage forever.

mandala, spiritual awakening, higher self, ego, eckhart tolle, wisdom, how to,

I often wonder how different the world would be if we chose to live more of our lives as our higher selves.

I know there’d be many grand differences that would occur on a global scale, however one aspect of life that has come to mind recently that would diminish out of existence, is road rage.

There would be no more road rage.

More often than not, we can see what the other driver is about to do anyway, and we adapt and drive accordingly. It’s after the fact that the pesky ego-voice pipes up and says “They’re not supposed to do that!” or “I could’ve crashed!” or “Why are they driving so slow, the speed limit is 100!” or usually worse…. We get angry because a part of us fantasizes about what could have happened – such as a crash – and conveniently forgets the fact that it didn’t happen. Basically we get angry at a fictional scenario.

Why do we get angry? Why do we choose a fear response instead of a loving one, an ego-reaction instead of the higher perspective? We’ll have a close call on the highway then tell our friends and family about it, usually ramping it up with a few extra details, to make a good story. They’ll get angry because deep down they love us and don’t want anything to happen to us, so they’ll jump on your bandwagon, sometimes even more passionately and vigorously than you. And what we’re really doing is spreading fear.

And when we’re in the throws of the exciting drama of it all, we usually haven’t stopped to wonder what might have been going on for the other driver.

We usually haven’t given it a thought. They could be sick, they could be upset, their mother might have just died, it could be anything, but that’s besides the point anyway.

Because when we’re in the throws of anger the most important question to ask is; what’s really going on for me?

Basically something happened that scared us and we lashed out. We usually lash out when we can’t handle that we were scared. We despise vulnerability. It makes us feel weak. Like some so-and-so can come in and take everything away from us in an instant. It makes us feel small and insignificant, and we hate that!

But it’s an unconscious reaction to instantly get angry. You are better than that. I am better than that.

We all are.

What do you think might’ve happened if we contacted our higher self instead?

We might witness what a capable driver we were when that car swerved out in front of us.

We might acknowledge how intuitive we are because we got a sense of what the driver was going to do before they did it.

We might recognise that they could have something tough going on in their life and send them some love – which results in us feeling powerful instead of powerless and a victim of circumstance.

There are infinite alternatives to getting angry, yet the most commonly un-chosen response is anger.

Let’s be better than that.

Words about a Star

Always remember,

you are a sacred Star unfolding,

discovering itself.

And just as you are that,

so am I.

Stars unfolding.

You can talk to the angels – here’s how.

angels, spirit guides, healing, love, vibration, energy, psychic,

Let’s get one thing clear, making a connection to the spirit world is possible and can be a reality for all of us. Whether we’re aware of it or not we all have this ability.

It might help to think of it as a seed within all of us, that some people water, feed and nourish and others don’t. As we know with plants and grasses they have the ability to grow without any care or nourishment provided, such as out of cracks in walls or pavements, but sometimes they need a lot more nurturing and attention to get going.

If you’re interested in making a connection yourself, then initially you need to just allow the possibility to be there first and then start working on it. Give it a chance to develop before cutting it off and believing that you can’t do it.

It’s easy to just believe that it’s possible for others and not you, it’s harder to give it a go again and again and again, even when it seems nothing is happening. It’s harder to persist and decide you want to work at something you don’t even know for sure is possible. Choose this route 🙂 and a whole new world can open up for you.

If you do choose to dare and give it a go, the most powerful place to start is with your own heart. Beings, spirit guides, loved ones who have passed over, and angels all vibrate at a very high frequency. And we, alas, as human beings vibrate at a lower, much denser frequency. This is how we can exist all around each other but so many people aren’t even aware there is more than just our physical reality, the most dense of all, existing.

angels, spirit guides, psychic, healing, love, life

So if you feel like this is something you really want to do, then start with hanging out with your heart. Breathe into your heart space and notice what it feels like when you feel loving towards someone or something. What does that physically feel like inside your body? What else do you notice?

Do you feel tingling? Buzzing and flutters in your chest? Like something is gently touching your hair, or blowing on your hand?

The higher you can get your vibration to be the easier you will find connecting into the spirit realm.

An exercise to try:

Take a few deep breaths and set the intention to make a strong connection to your love energy centre. You can also ask for help with this – just say – I call out to my angels and guides, and ask for your assistance with helping me feel love within.

Next focus your attention on your heart chakra – the centre of your chest. Continue breathing as though you’re breathing right into that spot and blowing it up like a balloon.

What do you feel when you do that?

You might feel like your heart is hard or like there are walls, continue breathing into that space until it starts to soften. You can also breathe out any heaviness that you carry in your heart.

Breathe in love, breathe out resistance. love how to angels, healing, spirit guides, how to, learn

Then say aloud or in your head:

I invite in my guardian angel and ask for your help to make a strong connection to the spirit world.

I open up all my senses, including my knowing.

Notice how you feel as you do this. Continue breathing into your heart the whole time, and notice any sensations. I usually feel tingling going up and down my back, and flutters in my heart when the angels are connecting in with me.

You might feel inclined to repeat the above statement 3 times, even though you’ll probably notice a sensation or feeling before you’ve managed to get it all out.

What do you notice?

Another way to do it is to ask for help from someone. I help people all the time to make real, tangible connections to the spirit world in one-on-one sessions via skype. And yes, even people who have never connected in before or don’t believe they’ll ever be able to. Experiences we don’t understand

spiritual awakening, kundalini, meditation, awakening, awake, psychic, help, how to, awakenMore people than ever are having spiritual awakenings, and even though these awakening experiences can be sudden and seemingly out of the blue, they offer us a taste of a euphoric reality that can be hard to come back down from.

Essentially the process of spiritual awakening starts with the simple recognition that there is more going on in our reality than what we can see or experience physically. It’s the acceptance that there are things going on which we cannot see and can easily miss unless we tune into our more subtle tendencies.

The more often you can acknowledge that there’s more to life than meets the eye, the higher the chance you’ll begin to notice the unseen forces at play.

While holding a sense of awareness about what is going on in the unseen reality helps you live in a more awakened state, the spiritual awakening experiences that many people are experiencing usually come on a lot more suddenly and (seemingly) out of no-where.

What’s a Spiritual Awakening Like?

While the experience can be different for many people there are often commonalities, such as experiencing an overwhelming feeling of love, unity and understanding of people and reality.

Often the loss of feeling bound within the confines of your physical body. People can experience feeling limbless or no longer wholly physical, like experiencing yourself or the objects around you as the millions of particles which are actually moving and vibrating extremely closely to each other as opposed to thinking and seeing everything as solid.

The feeling of love is often overwhelming. You may cry or laugh, you may barely be able to move while the experience is taking shape. It may only last a minute or so yet feel like a life-time as your sense of time becomes warped, as if you lose time or time no longer exists while the awakening is taking place.

Oneness. Often in spiritual awakening experiences you understand oneness. And not only as a concept, but as a reality – understanding this is actually our reality even though previously we’ve thought of ourselves as separate and at times, alone.

More about spiritual awakenings:

Often awakenings are experienced as short but incredibly intense experiences which open up our eyes to the unseen reality. We can experience a sudden awareness of ourselves as a Soul as opposed to a diminishing physical body, and the experience may force us to doubt our views of the way we believed the world worked on a fundamental level.

These experiences are important because, even though the intensity often dissipates not long afterward, we are left with a fundamental shift in our perception of the world. One from which it’s hard to come back from or deny to the occurrence of.

awakening, art, wake up, spiritual awakening, psychic, oneness, love, how to, meditation

With more of us experiencing awakenings I feel it’s important to talk about them – so we can realise that we’re not alone – and that we’re not going crazy!

I’ve had many awakening experiences over more recent years, and I’m becoming more able to live in a more awakened state – which for me, is the goal. Once your awareness of the world shifts, it’s hard to go back to your normal life, and you’ll most likely want to feel more of that euphoric love, and less of the separation and negativity that you held before.

Often after an awakening experience people might feel their life is dull or lack-luster. And this is okay, there’s no need to make any radical decisions just yet (unless there is:). Get to know your new altered state, your new views and perceptions of life. Ponder what makes you tick and where your true interests, passions and love exist.

Take it slowly.

Discover your new interests and find people with whom you can share them with.

The limitless result:

I’ve found once the awakening experience has settled you have the awareness and ability to experience more joy, peace and love in every situation, than you did before.

Every moment becomes one of uniqueness, opening up to be explored and devoured.

So take it easy with yourself and know that you’re not alone. These are exciting and intense times for all of us.

Have you experienced moments of complete euphoria, love and oneness?

What has life been like for you post spiritual awakening?

The Most Powerful Method To Love Yourself

amazing photography, personal development, life, love, self love, hate, how to, help
How do you feel about yourself most of the time? Do you encourage and support yourself? Or are you the first to tell yourself that you’re stupid, or hopeless, or that no-one likes you, or you can’t do anything?

And if you’re the latter – which most people are – it’s okay. That’s all a learned behaviour and it can be unlearned.

It’s just that something happened in our past where we made a decision that we weren’t good enough, or that we were unlovable, or don’t deserve to be loved.

Just because you think these things doesn’t make them true.

And when life gets tough, it’s out limiting thoughts and beliefs about ourselves that rear their ugly head and bring us down.

And that’s why I’m writing this, because you can turn it around. We all can. And it starts with observing our relationship with love.

Do you get frustrated and annoyed with people? Do you find it easy to hate?

Then how can you really expect to be able to love yourself when you’re constantly practicing the opposite?

That’s when it’s time to call in the love!

self love, selfimprovement, personal development, love, life, help

And it’s actually easier than you might think to start loving yourself, but the key is to learn to love more in general.

You learn how to do that then it’ll be easy to direct some of that love towards yourself. And once that channel of love is created, more and more will flow through it until one day you’ll forget that self love and self doubt was ever a problem for you.

Sound nice?

Let’s start with the first realisation.

Love is a skill, it’s something that can be improved upon, grown, expanded, and strengthened. Especially when it comes to loving ourselves. The key to learning how to love yourself is in learning how to love, and that means learning how to love anything and everything.

Love the chair that you sit upon.

Love your computer.

Go outside and find things you can love out there.

Love the trees. Love each tree.

Love the grass, love every blade of grass.

Grow love. Practice love.

national geographic, amazing photography, life, love, personal development, blog,

Take 1 minute now to list 10 things you love right now. Start small and simple. We know you love your family, your partner, your kids. But this is an exercise to start loving everything (and in turn loving yourself), so start with other things.

Practice loving things you might not normally associate love with.

Love indiscriminately.

Grow Love. Practice Love.

Don’t get to yourself yet, just start with this simple exercise for a few days and see what comes up.

Is it hard? Is it easy?

How do you feel when you do it?

Have fun love-generating souls,

until we meet again,

Sharon
